He Is His Gammie's Boy!!

PaPa Chet

In one of our many trips this Christmas vacation, we traveled to Hemphill, Tx to let Kaleb meet Kevin's Grandpa and Aunt Barbara. Papa Chet was pretty much in love at first sight (of course it would take a heart of pure steel to not fall in love with Kaleb!) Kevin has soooo many stories of summers spent with his grandparents on the Toledo Bend Resovoir and after just one trip, I cannot wait for Kaleb to have those same memories!! At 83 years old Papa Chet isn't going anywhere anytime soon. He's in better shape than me!! Here's a few good shots I got!

Santa's First Visit

So, of course Santa made his first visit to our house this year!! Kaleb didn't quite understand what the big deal was...and he really didn't understand why he couldn't eat the cookies!!

Santa brought Kaleb a GIGANTIC teddy bear, a rolling alligator, an activity table and of course, a stocking full of goodies!!

Then, as an added bonus, Grandma Kay let him have some early morning chocolate!!

Kaleb's First Snow

On Christmas Eve we made the trip up to Benbrook to see Granny, Grandad and the rest of the Eason Clan. I have made this trip almost every Christmas Eve of my life. It has NEVER snowed. Some years it snows the day before and melts before we get there. Some years it snows the day after we leave. And then some years it snows hours after we leave! But NEVER while I am actually there. Well, after 26 years, the streak has been broken. Luckily, we brought cold weather clothes and were able to snap a few pics of our little family in the snow. (well, not in the snow--the wind was blowing sooo hard there was no way to get Kaleb out in it!)

We are standing!!

Ok--here's the pictures of our newest trick. We have been practicing for a few weeks now, and have gotten to be an old pro! Standing up is sooooo much cooler than sitting down!!

And, even better than simply standing up...standing up while drinking from a sippy cup!!

Now if we could just figure out how to get from standing to sitting!
